Asheville first baseman Alex Garza helped his team beat the Montreal Mounties, 4-3. Garza, who finished 4th in the RCL in doubles with 32 in 2058, went 3 for 5 for the Moonshiners. Logan Evans got the win, improving to 2-2. He held the Mounties to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The save went to Steven Shiplack, his 8th this season.

Garza contributed in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Asheville get the win.

Asheville manager Dylan Light praised his team's "no BS approach."
