Dallas Still On the Schneid After 11-8 Loss to Hornets
Behind the hitting of Ed Cormack, the Eureka Hornets stopped the Dallas Texans, 11-8. Cormack was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Hornets. This loss makes it 8 in a row for Dallas.

The Texans had been locked in a 8-8 tie with the Hornets going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old first baseman Robby Helt came to the plate. Helt hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 fastball from Dallas hurler Jeff Reynolds. It was Helt's 9th double of the year.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Cormack told the Eureka News.
