Red Bulls Stymie Wichita, Take 4-1 Win
|
Riverside pitcher Dusty Gorman did his part in helping his team beat the Wichita Wolverines, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Willie Chaparro closed it out for his 21st save. The Red Bulls have an impressive 81-47 record.
Tsugunao Adachi went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Riverside. The 31-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 3-run home run off Ted Lincoln. It was his 12th home run of the season.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Adachi. "Just do my job."
