Toreros Get Past Havana for 7-6 Win
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros weathered a fine game by Havana left fielder Zheng-ze Li to upend the Stogies, 7-6, at The Humidor. Li went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Cabo San Lucas pitcher Edwin Mireles earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Rafael Alfaro suffered the loss. Jimmy Sherry picked up his 8th save of the season.

Ron Mulhollan came through with a big-time hit for Cabo San Lucas. The shortstop smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Mulhollan told the Cabo San Lucas Gazette.

The Toreros saw their win-loss record go to 18-21. At the same time, the Stogies fell to 23-17.
