The Quebec Armada defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 6-5, in 13 innings in Thurman Munson League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Quebec pitcher Jeff Lind had a standout performance. The win gives the Armada a record of 3-0.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Quebec. That's when Fernando Puente hit a run-scoring double off fireballing right-hander Woo-suk Cho to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It was a test of wills," said Ramu Pavi, the Quebec skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
