Rockets Stymie Louisiana, Take 7-1 Win
|
Kelowna got an elite performance from starting pitcher Miguel Dominguez in taking a 7-1 decision over the Louisiana Crocodiles. Kelowna currently is in second place in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League at 72-53.
The Kelowna triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Joey Eaton. In the bottom of the second, the Kelowna left fielder hit a 2-run home run. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Eaton said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
