Fans watched the Silicon Valley Hackers and the Roaring River Steelheads fight to the finish.

The Silicon Valley Hackers rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Edgar Arredondo to a win, beating the Roaring River Steelheads, 3-2, at Casino Grounds. The first-place Hackers hiked their record to 83-43.

Dennis Roberts, who is tied for 7th in the RAA in hits with 138, had a direct impact on the outcome. Roberts contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Silicon Valley up, 3-1.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Silicon Valley manager Brad Jones.
