The home team gave the The Corn Crib fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
The Cornhuskers had to overcome a fine effort from Rock River pitcher Junior Castillo to grab a narrow 2-1 win at The Corn Crib. Castillo went 8.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. DeKalb improves to 73-52 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.
The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Ricky Campos. For the game, Campos went 1 for 1. In the bottom of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave DeKalb a 2-1 lead.
