Starting pitcher Carl Reusch pitched well enough to help the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters beat the Evanston Bishops, 4-3. The win was credited to 26-year old left-handed pitcher Dave Wenzel in relief. His record improves to 5-8. Jesus Lopez took the loss. Niagara Falls, at 68-55, occupies 4th place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

Sammy Gillin was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pipe Fitters first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Carl pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Niagara Falls manager Jonathan Kelly.
