Beetlecats Earn Win with Late Rally
The Moose Jaw Canucks got a superb performance from pitcher Jason Davis, but the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats still won the game, 6-5. Davis threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. John Peters was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 37 save opportunities. The Beetlecats have an impressive 74-32 record.

Buzzard's Bay used a timely hit from Juan Reyes to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Beetlecats ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Moose Jaw manager Anandam Ramanathan. "But we decided not to take it."
