Nakano Stars in Beehive Win
|
The Madison Beehive dealt the Cincinnati Snaps a 8-3 loss at The Hive. Takahiro Nakano was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Madison reliever Vic Cruz was credited with the win, to go to 8-5. Alfonso Espinoza took the loss for Cincinnati. Kevin Moore locked down his 3rd save.
Juan Manzo went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Madison. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Alfonso Espinoza. It was his 46th walk of the season.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Nakano.
Madison occupies second place in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division at 69-51.
