|
The Kelowna Rockets bested the Boise Hawks by a score of 5-3, with designated hitter Chase Gainey getting the main credit. On the day, Gainey went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Rockets. Kelowna reliever Douggie Aikman picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Josh Jackson shouldered the loss. Kelowna has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Kelowna took a 5-2 lead on Gainey's 16th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Chris Ackley in the top of the eighth, propelled Kelowna to the win.
