Bulldogs Raise Rally Flag, Beat Sandy Springs, 3-1
|
The Spokane Bulldogs defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 3-1, in TMLAA action at The Coliseum, with Spokane pitcher Bobby Brabaw named player of the game. The winner was Spokane reliever Jeremy Waldron, now 2-3. The loser was Chris Walker. Drew Shelton converted his 29th save in 36 tries.
Spokane used the clutch hitting of Ricardo Reyna to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Bulldogs the lead, 3-1. For the game, Reyna had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Brabaw.
