Steelheads Snatch Late Win
The Beaumont Drillers got a superb performance from third baseman Stan Spencer, but the Roaring River Steelheads still won the game, 9-7. Spencer was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Justin Bissey closed it out for his 11th save. The Steelheads now have a record of 56-65.

Roaring River used a timely hit from Davis Batstone to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Steelheads ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Batstone told a Roaring River Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
