Peacocks Get 9-4 Win Versus Moose Jaw
Though he had a stellar game, Tony Curiel could not prevent his team, the Moose Jaw Canucks, from losing, 9-4, to the Murraysville Peacocks. Curiel was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Danny Baldwin, who threw 106 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 5 hits. Jesus Alicea notched his 1st save of the season.

Bret McAleer had a big 2-run home run for the Peacocks in the top of the sixth inning. With Murraysville leading 5-3 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Marco Grados and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Peacocks on top, 7-3.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," McAleer told the Murraysville Daily.

Murraysville is now 53-51, Moose Jaw 72-31.
