Cornhuskers Trip Beehive, 7-5, in Extra Innings
The DeKalb Cornhuskers and the Madison Beehive played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Cornhuskers won it, 7-5, in 12 innings. In the game, DeKalb third baseman Bill McGrath went 2-2 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. DeKalb now has a record of 71-48 with the win.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, McGrath hit a cutter from Tony Cabrera for a 2-run home run. The Cornhuskers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said McGrath.
