It was a fun time at The Stetson Bowl, where the Sandy Springs Spartans and Fraser Valley Black Bears tangled.

Fraser Valley starter Brian Campbell put a stranglehold on the Sandy Springs offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Black Bears to a 4-1 win. Campbell, the winner, moves to 3-8. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. Alex Marquez locked down his 16th save.

Early in the game, second baseman Edgar Mollinedo had a 3-run home run for Fraser Valley. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Black Bears on top, 3-0.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Mollinedo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Fraser Valley is now 64-55.
