Benefiting from Andrew Read's productive game, the Pacifica Shamrocks downed the Black Mountain Mountaineers, 2-0. Read went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Shamrocks. Pacifica reliever Ed Brereton was the winner. His record is now 3-5. The losing pitcher was Bill Miller. Ignazio Menichelli closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

In the bottom of the sixth, Antonio Gonzalez delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Pacifica designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Shamrocks in front, 2-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Pacifica manager Ben Bobzien. "Our pregame was pretty good."

Even with the win, the Shamrocks have a dismal 35-67 record.
