Wichita left fielder Michel Hull had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-6, to Evanston at Howling Park. Hull went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Clay Tedesco, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in 6.2 innings. The current losing streak for Wichita has reached 7 games.

Ryan Godec had a big 2-run double for the Bishops in the top of the fifth inning. With Evanston leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Luis Jacinto and swatted a double to right. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bishops ahead, 6-3.

"When you're losing, the game looks more difficult to play than it is," said Wichita manager John Bunce.
