John Schneider had a good game, but he could not keep the Madison Beehive from falling, 6-5, to the Wichita Wolverines at Howling Park. The Madison catcher went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times in the loss. Melvin Montemayor picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. David Torres was tagged with the loss. Wichita, with the win, is 40-78.

Jordan Garrett was the walk-off hero for Wichita. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wolverines shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Garrett.
