The Clearwater Seagulls faced a tough opponent in Madison pitcher Carlos Canales, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Chapman Field by a final score of 3-2. Canales went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The loss makes Madison 35-84.

Mike Seagren was the walk-off hero for Clearwater. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Seagulls right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
