The Evanston Bishops got a sterling performance from pitcher Kaleb Gacoki, but the Clearwater Seagulls still prevailed, 7-2. Gacoki threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The win puts the Seagulls at 73-44, while the Bishops drop to 68-49.

Bill Sawyer drove in one run for Clearwater. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Danny Aguilar. It was his 16th RBI of the season.

Sawyer called the win "a collective effort."
