Fans who gathered at Outlander Park saw a good contest between the Kelowna Rockets and Frisco Rams.

The Kelowna Rockets topped the Frisco Rams, 5-3, in RCLAA action at Outlander Park. The player of the game was Kelowna pitcher and Chihuahua, Mexico native Andres Alvarez. Alvarez got the win, improving to 8-7. He allowed 4 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. Alvarez allowed 1 earned run.

Jose Cortez aided the Kelowna cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Cortez told the Kelowna Herald.

With the win over Frisco, the Rockets improved to 66-52.
