Rats Wrest Win from Black Bears, 6-4
The Rock River Rats defeated the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 6-4, in 14 innings. Doing his part was left fielder Neil Highers, who went 3-6 with 2 doubles and a walk. The victory gives the Rats a record of 72-45.

Rock River got a clutch hit from Amlak Sang. The designated hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Sang.
