Cornhuskers Bounce Rats, 9-5
Josh Thomas had a good game, but he could not keep the Rock River Rats from falling, 9-5, to the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Rat Hole. The Rock River designated hitter went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 in the loss. Picking up the save was Jose Salinas. He's now 11 for 12 in save chances. DeKalb has now won 4 games in a row.

DeKalb used the clutch hitting of Manuel Vasquez to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cornhuskers ahead, 9-5. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Even warm beer tastes good after a win," said Vasquez.
