Patino Excels in DeKalb Win
|
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Diego Patino, the DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 14-7. Patino went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Cornhuskers. Danny Leon, credited with the win, is now 8-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. DeKalb goes to 68-48. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
Roger Berry, the DeKalb left fielder, contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to make the score 4-3, Cornhuskers. For the game, Berry went 2-6 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
