The Beaumont Drillers and Boise Hawks left the fans buzzing.

Boise Hawks starter Cory Hardey was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Beaumont Drillers, 5-1. Hardey yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 5, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-2. Jim Kellar recorded the save, making him 8 for 9.

The Hawks got a big at-bat from second baseman Nate Sullivan. For the game, Sullivan was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Boise a 4-1 lead.
