The Moose Jaw Canucks topped the Beaumont Drillers by a score of 7-4. Leading the way was center fielder Tom Mirelez. Mirelez went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Canucks. The winning pitcher was Xavier Capetillo. His record now stands at 8-4. The right-hander went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits for the Canucks. Justin Schroeder earned the save for Moose Jaw, his 9th.

Mirelez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 curveball from Steve Cox, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Canucks a 5-4 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Mirelez.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Mirelez told the Moose Jaw Times.
