Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats starter Phil Jackson was on his game, helping his team beat the Murraysville Peacocks, 9-2. Buzzard's Bay is now 52-62, Murraysville 40-73.

The Beetlecats got a big hit from left fielder Carlos Encarnacion. Facing Murraysville pitcher Ruben Perez in the bottom of the eighth, Encarnacion pounded a bases-clearing double to left. His 5th double of the season put the Beetlecats ahead, 9-2.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Encarnacion.
