DeKalb got a valiant performance from pitcher Mike DeGraffenried, but it wasn't enough to beat the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters. Niagara Falls won the game, 4-3. DeGraffenried came in in relief and pitched to 27 batters for the losing team. Dave Wenzel snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-7 on the season. Justin Price suffered the loss. The 4th-place Pipe Fitters are 62-50.

Tom Mohundro was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pipe Fitters pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Enjoyed this one," Mohundro told the Niagara Falls Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
