Mountaineers Suffer 6-2 Setback
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Beaumont Drillers and Black Mountain Mountaineers.

The Beaumont Drillers converted a terrific effort from starter Brian Taylor into a win over the Black Mountain Mountaineers at Drillers Stadium. The Drillers won the game by a final score of 6-2. The winner was Taylor. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mike Beale.

Preston Ledoux chipped in a 2-run home run for Beaumont in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"Brian gave us a heck of an effort," said Beaumont manager Takuzo Kaneshiro.

Beaumont, at 55-42, sits in second place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.
