Moose Jaw Beats Murraysville, Goes to 83-30
|
The Moose Jaw Canucks called upon starter Marco Grados, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Murraysville Peacocks, 5-2. Greg Ruff got credit for the save for Moose Jaw. It was his 6th of the year. Murraysville is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Moose Jaw catcher Israel Munoz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 67th hit of the season and put the Canucks ahead, 2-0.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Grados. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
