Chargers Subdue Fraser Valley, 5-4

Terra Linda beat Fraser Valley at Albert Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Marcos Alcazar, who earned player of the game honors. Alcazar, now 6-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. At 59-51, the Chargers are currently third in the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division.
A key at-bat came in the bottom of the sixth inning. With a runner on 3rd, the batter, Mario Avila, hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 4-3, Terra Linda, and helped them go on to win.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Fraser Valley manager Jesús Morán. "The effort was great."
