Hawks Roll to 11-2 Win Over Shamrocks
|
The Boise Hawks handed the Pacifica Shamrocks a sound defeat, 11-2, at Basque Block Field. Anthony Michaud was a main contributor to the win. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Boise. The win was Joel Krentz's in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Ramon Pozo took the loss for Pacifica. The Shamrocks have now dropped 5 straight.
Franklin Padilla's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Boise. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Boise leading 3-2, the center fielder hit a run-scoring single.
"The Hawks definitely had our number," said Pacifica manager Kojuro Ohayashi.
