Boston got a big-time effort from pitcher Jim Kein, but it wasn't enough to keep the Kelowna Rockets from winning the game, 3-2. Kein threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Alan Moors got credit for the save for Kelowna. It was his 23rd of the year. Kelowna is in 5th place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League with a record of 47-64.

John Hamilton chipped in a solo home run for Kelowna in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.

"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Rockets manager Antonio Moreno.
