Mustang Get 12th Straight Win with Late Rally
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Carson City Mustang and the Evanston Bishops, Tyler Frasier was the X factor. The Carson City right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Frasier got the win, improving to 9-6. He gave up 5 hits and walked 7 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Carson City, now 67-44, has stretched its winning streak to 12 games.
Carson City took a 3-2 lead on Jim Woodland's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Woodland hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Evanston pitcher Antonio Hernandez visibly frustrated.
"The guys are feeling pretty good about where they're at right now," said Mustang manager Orinosuke Matsuoka. "We have a lot of guys playing with confidence."
