The Clearwater Seagulls scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Carson City Mustang at Chapman Field. Clearwater pitcher John Wilder held his own in the contest. The win makes Clearwater 45-48.
Griffin Matte aided the Clearwater cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk.
Clearwater manager Ayub Ndadaye was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
