Snaps Come Up Short at DeKalb
|
The first-place DeKalb Cornhuskers welcomed Cincinnati to The Corn Crib.
DeKalb right-hander Guillermo Cabrera pitched his team to a shutout win, 1-0, over the Cincinnati Snaps. Ted Gray recorded his 7th save for DeKalb.
One consequential at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, Diego Patino, hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, DeKalb, and helped them go on to win.
"We'll savor this win," Patino told the DeKalb Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
DeKalb is now 63-44, 3½ games up in the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division.
