Crocodiles Deal Rockets 6-5 Defeat
Despite a great performance by Kelowna catcher Kevin Moore, the Louisiana Crocodiles defeated the Rockets by the score of 6-5 at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Moore went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vicente Cosme got the win, improving to 4-3. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Picking up the save was fireballing right-hander Jerry Hartley.

Louisiana used the timely hitting of Todd Peacock to capture the win. The shortstop socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Crocodiles ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Louisiana manager Peter McColgan was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

The win makes Louisiana 51-42.
