Wolverines 7-2 Winners Over DeKalb
The DeKalb Cornhuskers went down to defeat to Manuel Carrillo and his Wichita teammates. The final score was 7-2, in favor of the Wolverines. Carrillo, now 4-6, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 1, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Orlando Sanchez earned the save, his 4th.

Wichita used a well-timed hit by Edward Suarez to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Enjoyed this one," Suarez told the Wichita Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

Wichita, with the win, is 37-70.
