Gillin Helps Pipe Fitters Win, 10-4, with Pair of Homers
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Sammy Gillin, the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters defeated the Murraysville Peacocks, 10-4. Gillin hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3 for the Pipe Fitters. Niagara Falls pitcher Kyle Carothers got the win, upping his record to 3-1. Nick Tullo got the loss. The Pipe Fitters saw their win-loss record go to 42-50. At the same time, the Peacocks fell to 48-44.

Early in the game, Gillin had a run-scoring double for Niagara Falls. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Pipe Fitters on top, 1-0.

In postgame remarks, Gillin said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
