Niagara Falls pitcher Mike Olejarz did his part in helping his team defeat the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Dave Wenzel, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save. Niagara Falls is now 59-46, while Fraser Valley is 61-44.

Greg Walden had a direct impact on the outcome. Walden contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Niagara Falls up, 2-0.

"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Niagara Falls manager Jonathan Kelly. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
