The Frisco Rams rode a solid performance from 22-year-old starting pitcher Luis Alvarado to a win, beating the Windsor Royals, 3-2, at Outlander Park. Dan Thompson recorded the save for Frisco, his 24th of the season. Frisco is now 60-45, while Windsor is 69-38.

In the bottom of the 6th, designated hitter Jeff Levine gave Frisco the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Rams had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Windsor pitcher George Garrison changed that -- and Frisco went on to win.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Alvarado.
