The timely hitting of Maxence Amico helped the Sandy Springs Spartans take down the Rock River Rats, 4-3, in 11 innings. Amico was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Spartans. The Spartans bumped their record to 60-45 with this latest triumph.

Jay Helmke delivered a big hit for Sandy Springs. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Spartans ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
