The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats took on the Black Mountain Mountaineers at The Coffee Grinder.

The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats locked up a win at The Coffee Grinder, knocking off the Black Mountain Mountaineers, 8-5. On the mound for Buzzard's Bay was left-hander Tristan Cooperman. He played a major role in the triumph. The win went to Robby Medlin in relief, making him now 9-7. Nelson Ramirez took the loss for Black Mountain. John Peters earned the save for Buzzard's Bay, his 25th of the year.

Had Cesar Rodriguez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Rodriguez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Beetlecats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Buzzard's Bay skipper Dorian Payne.

The loss makes Black Mountain 44-46.
