Cattlemen Shut Out Hawks
|
Snelling played host to Boise at the friendly confines of Seven Pines Corral.
Snelling starter Victor Davila put a stranglehold on the Boise offense. The left-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Cattlemen to a 4-0 win. In 6.2 innings, Davila surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The save was credited to Travis Reeves, his 1st.
Snelling left fielder Jordan Johnson laid a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. It was his 8th home run of the season. With it, the Cattlemen took a 2-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Johnson said.
The Cattlemen are now 57-45, while the Hawks fall to 47-57.
