The Cabo San Lucas Toreros and Bighorn Bison were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Bighorn Bison topped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 3-0, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bighorn pitcher Jim Barnes. The save went to Quirino Lorenzetti, his 3rd this season.
Bighorn relied on the bat of Willie Salazar to get the win. The catcher ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bison ahead, 3-0. For the game, Salazar had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Bighorn manager Vic Eassson.
With the win over Cabo San Lucas, the Bison improved to 21-17.
