A good performance from designated hitter Kevin Parker helped the Carson City Mustang defeat the Evanston Bishops, 11-6. Parker hit 2 home runs, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice for the Mustang. The win puts Carson City at 62-40 this season.

With Carson City trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Parker hit a slider from Jesus Sanchez for a grand slam home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and put the Mustang ahead, 5-2.

"If it's down the middle," said Parker, "you might as well hit it."
