Hackers Keep Chugging, Win, 9-7
|
Good production from second baseman Dan Carnes helped the Silicon Valley Hackers topple the Beaumont Drillers, 9-7. Carnes went 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Hackers. The win was credited to Shota Shibata in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Steve Surprenant took the loss. Hector Lopez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities.
Tim Cooke helped out the Silicon Valley cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs.
