In a tight contest at Chapman Field, the Clearwater Seagulls edged the Frisco Rams by the score of 9-8. Clearwater first baseman Zach Johnson, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Clearwater is now 41-48. Frisco is 44-44.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Rams allowed the Seagulls to score the winning run.

"This place sure got loud," said Ayub Ndadaye, the Clearwater manager.
