Getting offensive support from Salvador Paima, the Black Mountain Mountaineers topped the Sandy Springs Spartans, 6-4. Paima was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Mountaineers. Nick Bivins earned the win. Matt Richards took the loss for Sandy Springs. The win elevated the Mountaineers to 52-36.

It could have been a different outcome for Black Mountain, had it not been for Jay Lundgren, the 23-year old first baseman . Lundgren contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Black Mountain up, 5-4.
