Shamrocks Get Past Wichita for 4-3 Win
|
The Pacifica Shamrocks trumped the Wichita Wolverines, 4-3, at McCormick Field. Pacifica designated hitter Guillermo Posadas was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Pacifica reliever Alex Sanchez picked up the win to move to 2-1. Danny Hernandez suffered the loss. The save went to Gideon Harrison, his 7th this season.
One important at-bat for Pacifica came with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Posadas hit a 3-run home run, which contributed to the Shamrocks win.
"We did a lot of things right," said Posadas.
The Shamrocks now have a record of 43-57 with the win over Wichita.
